This year marks the 50th anniversary of Korean immigration to metro Atlanta. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta is organizing a variety of cultural events from October 11 to 14 with participation of the Korean-American Association of Greater Atlanta as co-organizer.
An opening ceremony with a music concert (Korean American Friendship Concert) on October 11 will kick off the anniversary events. The concert will feature performances by Ji-Hae Park, world renowned violinist from Korea; Bigman, Asia Beatbox Champion; and a spectacular orchestral performance by Korean musicians of metro Atlanta along with the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra.
Consul General Young-jun Kim would like to invite all the community members to the concert at Infinite Energy Arena, located at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Georgia 30097, at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 11, 2018. Consul General Kim sincerely hopes this meaningful opportunity will contribute to increased friendship between Korea and the U.S. Indeed, your presence will be highly appreciated by the 120,000 strong Korean community in metro Atlanta.
