33rd Annual “A Tour of Southern Ghosts” – At this bewitching time of the year, why not visit Stone Mountain Park and go on an evening adventure to the Historic Square for a “tour” with ghosts? The tour features fun and spooky ghost stories from the Antebellum South; great fun for young, old, and of course, a perfect family outing. It is for those who believe and for those who don’t and for those who just want to have a good time. On the “tour”, you will meet six professional storytellers as they spin tales of Southern ghosts along the lantern lit paths of the South’s most authentic and spookiest plantation. Join us for this Atlanta family tradition.
October 11-13, 18-20, and 25-27
«A Tour of Southern Ghosts» is held during the Halloween season so the stories are a little scary, many times humorous, but never too frightening and always appropriate for young children. Each night offers a different cast of six storytellers, which means audience members may return to «A Tour of Southern Ghosts» on additional nights to hear a new collection of stories. Call the number below for each night’s featured storytellers.
All proceeds benefit the ongoing programs of ART Station, a non-profit contemporary arts center located in Stone Mountain Village in the City of Stone Mountain. Founded in 1986, ART Station provides cultural and educational opportunities for the entire community, focusing its programming on quality southern works of art and artists.
