L'Arche Atlanta and GCDD join The Wren's Nest's Beyond Books series where published and unpublished authors share their work.
L’Arche Atlanta is partnering with the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) to lead the GCDD Storytelling Project. The goal of the project is to educate and influence legislators around issues that affect Georgians with disabilities through their stories and photographs. The GCDD Storytelling Project aims to collect 75 stories representing the experience of individuals living with a developmental disability in Georgia. This collection of stories and pictures will include at least one individual from each of Georgia’s 56 State Senate Districts. L’Arche will be collecting stories to support GCDD’s efforts to amplify the voices and stories of people with developmental disabilities in Georgia.
